We invest in many programs and services that help kids be ready to learn, have the nutrition they need, and provides services that wrap around the family so that kids can thrive in and out of school. Some of those services include mental health counselling, the Windsor-Essex food bank network, helping family members with a disability, mentoring, after school and tutoring programs, high school completion programs and 211 Information Services.   1. The lottery will take place online only from November 23, 2020 to December 17, 2020 and the winner will be drawn at 12 Noon on December 18, 2020.
  2. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.
  3. Must be in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
  4. Tickets are priced at 10 for $10, 40 for $20 and 200 for $40.
  5. Tickets will be available online at www.weareunited5050.com
  6. Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by Ascendfs Canada Ltd.
  7. After buying, patrons will receive a confirmation e-mailed with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
  8. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw.
  9. The amount of the 50/50 will be determined by the sales made on website referred to in #5 above, where purchasers can monitor the status of the raffle. The website uses the electronic raffle system referred to in #6 above.
  10. The winning number will be announced by being posted on the draw website (#5 above), on United Way’s main website at www.weareunited.com and on United Way’s main Facebook and Twitter social media accounts.
  11. The winner may claim their prize by contacting United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County at: (519) 258-0000, or by email at: raffle@weareunited.com. The ticket may then be brought to 300 Giles Blvd. East, Unit A1, Windsor, ON N9A 4C4 at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted at the event for which they bought their ticket. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque.
  12. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchase for.
  13. The winner must provide his/her name, address, and phone number with government issued photo identification for our report sheet.
  14. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo identification, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that draw. If the winner cannot provide photo identification, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
  15. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will kept in a safe and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
  16. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws:
    • persons who are younger than 18 years old
    • Board Members and Employees of United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County
    • Employees of Ascend Fundraising Solutions (Ascendfs Canada Ltd and affiliates)
  17. The above set of rules will be posted online at the website referenced in #5 as well as at www.weareunited.com/raffle.
